Dash is an app that makes driving a simpler, more effective task, especially if you have long commutes and want to reduce the wear and tear on your car. This tool helps improve your car's performance and saves gas, all with a social component to help you get the most out of your car.
To begin using Dash, you first have to enter the makes and models of each of your cars. With this information, the tool will create a detailed calculation of their gas mileage according to distance and speed. Once it's set up, you just have to open it and let it do its job.
Each trip you take will be automatically recorded on the map so you can see all the roads you've taken and other details like your average speed and how long it took you to make each trip from start to finish. These stats give an idea of how long it takes to drive a certain distance, get from one place to another, or find possible alternative routes to your destination.
The app always lets you select which car you're driving, and also provides details on how much gas it takes to get from A to B and how much gas you've saved compared to using another of your vehicles for the same trip. Finally, the app's social aspect makes driving even more fun through a points system that rewards you for longer trips and when you save gas. If you're a good enough driver, you'll move up the ranking and beat out other drivers.
